Peter Saunders, Director of Saunders Associates, was owner-publisher of Garamond Press for twelve years. He co-founded the company in the early 80’s. The company was purchased by Broadview Press in 2005, and is now an imprint of The University of Toronto Press. Saunders started his career in publishing in the U.K. with Cassell & Co. and The Bodley Head, then worked for Longman Canada and McClelland & Stewart in the 1970’s, becoming a partner in Fernwood Books Ltd. in the 1980’s.
