We'll offer advice on your proposal, commenting on its substance, presentation and "marketability" You can then decide if you want us to work with you.
Submission Guidelines
Before submitting a proposal, you may find it useful to check the following:
The outlines need be no more than six pages in length and comprise the following. Please do not mail draft chapters or other printed material to us unless requested;
Table of Contents: This should indicate the arrangement of chapters, and summarise chapter contents.
Theoretical Framework: The theoretical orientation or framework of the book should be made clear in order for readers to understand how this relates to the subject matter.
Argument and Evidence: Please provide a clear description of the material presented, how it is argued, and the sources of evidence for the main thesis.
Author CV.: Please include a one or two page summary of your current c.v., as well as brief biographical details of any contributors.

Market Potential and Use: The outline should include an assessment of the proposed book's market potential for university and college courses. The work should also be compared with any competing works. If you consider it has potential for good sales outside Canada, let us have details of any editorial and publishing contacts you may have abroad.
Level: Please provide a clear indication of the level (e.g. community college, first year university, graduate level, etc.) for which the proposed book is intended.
Length and Completion Date: Please indicate the estimated length of the proposed work by word count or page numbers, (as a rough rule of thumb, one typed double-spaced ms. page is equivalent to two thirds of a book page). It is also important to give an indication of the projected completion date of the manuscript.
Reviewers: Please provide the names and contact details of three potential expert reviewers for the proposed work. (Note: these people will not be approached directly without your prior consent).
Subventions/Grants: Provide concise information on any potential grants or subsidies for the proposed work which may assist in off-setting publication costs.
